I have an older Concord ceiling fan. It was working fine, but recently the pullchain broke off at the switch. What do I do?

Some of these older parts are unfortunately hard to find, or cannot be found at all. One thing you can do is check out our ceiling fan wiring guide (on left). It has help and troubleshooting support for different types of installations. It also accurately describes which wire colors should go where, so you may be able to fix it this way.

The burning smell that came from the motor after the three wire switch was installed, could mean two things. First, it could mean that the switch he hooked up did not have a proper ground. Or, the motor was getting too much voltage. In essence, the wiring was not done properly. However, depending how old the fan is, you may or may not be able to find that part anymore.

We have searched for more Concord ceiling fan parts but have not been able to find ones that match your description. If anyone else is able to find a manual or parts that will help with this problem, please let us know by using the contact us page.
